As part of CLC World’s Safe Hands initiative, there are a number of resort protocols in place to ensure that your stay with us is both safe and enjoyable.

The resort has been registered by the Junta de Andalucia and Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT) as “safe accommodation”, meaning you can enjoy your holiday with confidence.

For yours and the CLC World team’s safety, all CLC World team members are wearing PPE in accordance with established guidelines and regulations in the hotel industry. CLC World has also installed screens at high contact points around the resort.

Please ensure that you maintain the recommended physical distance between yourself and non-family members at all possible times.

General Destination

From 00:00 on 24 May, current entry restrictions and testing requirements for arrivals from the UK to Spain will no longer apply. However, travellers from the UK should be prepared to present evidence of a negative test if they have travelled to a country on Spain’s list of ‘risk countries’ in the 14 days prior to travel.

All passengers entering Spain will still be required to complete a pre-travel declaration form.

Entry restrictions and testing requirements continue to apply for travel to Spain from ‘risk countries’. You should refer to the Spanish Embassy or Consulate in the country you are in for further advice.

All overland travellers (excluding children under 6 years of age) entering Spain by road or rail from France, are required to present a negative PCR, TMA or LAMP test taken within 72 hours prior to entry.

Update as from 9th May 2021 – Travel restrictions and curfews within the autonomous region of Andalucía have been lifted. Bars and Restaurants may open up to midnight and groups of up to 8 people are permitted inside & 10 outside.

COVID-19 testing – The Reception has arranged the ability for you to book tests while holidaying at the Resort. Tests will be conducted by preferred medical centres, chosen for their convenience and minimal distraction to your overall holiday experience.

  • Masks are compulsory at all times in public spaces for everyone aged 6 and over, both in open and confined spaces, regardless of whether physical distancing can be maintained. Exceptions are when eating/drinking, swimming, exercising, at the beach or poolside. Fines can be issued by the authorities for failure to comply. Physical distancing should still be maintained wherever possible, other than among family members.
  • Taxis – a maximum of 4 people allowed per standard taxi and 8 in the larger people carrier.
  • CLC World has partnered with Autos Lido, an in-airport Car Hire company. Should Guests wish to hire a car, an appointment must be made online directly with the car hire company or via one of the Receptions once on resort.
Check In
  • Reception is open daily, 10am to 6pm. Please contact us on [email protected] if arriving outside of these hours.
  • Please supply travel details in advance to reduce waiting times.
  • Only the lead Member of the party will go to Reception, with all the passports of the group and a valid credit card, to complete the check in process. The remainder of the group will be directed to a waiting area until the check in is completed.
  • If the apartment is ready at check in, Guests will be given the sanitised room key.
  • If the apartment is not ready at check in, Guests can make use of the resort whilst the apartment is serviced. Reception will notify you once your apartment becomes available.
Accommodation
  • The apartments are fully equipped with a personal kitchen and a supply of linen and towels.
  • The apartments will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using approved cleaning products.
  • Once the apartment has been disinfected there will be a seal on the door to be removed on entry by the guest.
  • A number of soft furnishing items have been removed to increase hygiene protocol e.g. bed throws, cushions, rugs.
  • The CLC World grocery welcome pack has been replaced with a hygiene pack.
  • Currently, mid-week cleans are not available.
  • A mid-week change of towels, or other in-room requirements will be delivered to the door without staff entering.
  • Remote controls have been sealed in plastic to further enhance hygiene standards.
  • Please use the rubbish collection and recycling centres around the resort.
  • Upon departure, place all linen and towels in the bath/shower for collection and leave the unit in as tidy a state as possible to facilitate the changeover before the arrival of the next guests.
Bars & Restaurants
  • Seating within bars and restaurants is limited. Terrace capacity has been increased where possible to maximise the number of places available.
  • Tables and chairs will be sanitised between users. Please wait to be seated.
  • Tables can be booked via Res Diary which can be found on Your Guide. A table reservation is recommended.
  • Safari restaurant is open with the following timetable:
    • Monday to Friday closed.
    • Saturday and Sunday open from 10am to 9pm with the following breakdown of services:
      • Saturday
      • Full bar service 10am to 9pm
      • Breakfast combo/continental from 10am to 11.30am
      • BBQ lunch and snack from 12.30 to 4.30pm
      • Sunday
      • Full bar service 10am to 9pm
      • Breakfast combo/continental from 10am to 11.30am
      • Sunday roast lunch with live entertainment from 12.30 to 4.30pm (entertainment from 2 pm to 4 pm)
  • Sunrise, Cascades, Zac’s, El Rancho, Zacary’s & Sam’s Pantry remain closed.
  • Guests must remain seated and not approach or stand at the bar or service counters.
  • Menus are disposable and will be replaced after each usage. In addition, QR codes will provide access to digital menus.
  • Guests are encouraged to use contactless payment or room charging to limit the use of cash on resort.
  • CEHAT has registered all our resort restaurants as “safe restaurants” so you can dine in confidence.

Communal Areas (incl. pools)
  • CLC World maintenance and cleaning teams ensure communal areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected using approved chemicals.
  • Areas of high contact are sprayed and disinfected frequently by the CLC World team.
  • Hand sanitisers/gels are available throughout the resort. Guests are encouraged to wash hands regularly with soap and use the hand sanitisers/gels.
  • Currently, the Resort Train isn’t operational as physical distancing between families cannot be guaranteed.

Lifts

  • Only one person, or one family, to use the lift at a time.

Sunbeds & Pools

  • Pool areas including sunbeds fixtures and fittings will be sanitised daily.
  • Currently, capacity of the swimming pool areas is restricted to 50%. Guests are encouraged to swim, and then return to private terraces should there be no sunbed available at the poolside.

Gym, Health & Beauty

  • The gym will remain closed as hygiene protocols can’t be guaranteed
Excursions & Activities
  • Excursions and activities are constantly reviewed. Up-to-date information on what is available can be found on notice boards in resort and on Your Guide.
  • The Kids Club is currently closed.
  • Currently, parent led activities are: Tennis, Table Tennis and Jogging routes. Equipment is sanitised between users.
Check Out
  • Check out is 10am on the day of departure.
  • Guests are encouraged to settle the bill the night prior to departure. Reception can take card payments over the phone and provide a copy of the bill via email.
  • If Guests are required to move apartments during a multiple week stay, please pack belongings and once invited to, move to the new apartment.
  • Access to a luggage room can be organised for Guests via Reception.
  • Currently, there is no shared courtesy room facility.

Entry to Spain

All passengers entering Spain will still be required to complete a pre-travel declaration form. Quarantine and testing on return to the UK continues to apply. See Returning to the UK.

Some travel restrictions and testing requirements are in place for international transit through Spanish airports by passengers on flights departing from the UK.

 Since 23 November 2020, pre-travel COVID-19 testing requirements have been in place for those travelling by air and sea from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control).

From 00:00 on 24 May, arrivals from the UK are no longer subject to this requirement but will have to complete a pre-travel declaration form.

If you are resident in Spain, you should carry your residence document (the green paper EU residence certificate or the new TIE), as well as your valid passport when you travel. If you are not in possession of a residence document.

Travellers should follow the advice of the local authorities on how best to protect themselves and others, including any measures that they bring in to control the virus.

Mandatory pre-travel declaration form

Before travel to Spain, all passengers travelling by air or sea must complete and sign an online Health Control Form no more than 48 hours prior to travel declaring any known history of exposure to COVID-19 and giving contact details.

Anyone who has not completed this form electronically via the Spain Travel Health website or app, may submit it in paper format prior to boarding.

Testing requirements

Testing requirements for arrivals from the UK

From 00:00 on 24 May, arrivals from the UK are no longer subject to testing requirements unless they have travelled to a country on Spain’s list of ‘risk’ countries in the 14 days prior to travel to Spain. All arrivals are obliged to present a pre-travel declaration and undergo health checks at the point of entry.

Testing requirements if travelling from a ‘risk country’

All passengers (excluding children under the age of 6 years old) travelling to Spanish airports and ports from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control) are required to present a negative PCR, TMA (Transcription-Mediated Amplification) or a LAMP (Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification) swab test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

A minimum fine of €3000 may be issued to anyone who arrives in Spanish airports or ports from ‘risk’ countries without adequate evidence of a negative PCR, TMA or LAMP test.

Road travel

Land borders are open.

The Spanish government has implemented testing requirements for those travelling overland from France into Spain by road or rail. See Testing requirements for details.

The French government has implemented additional entry requirements for those travelling to and transiting through France. If you are planning to drive from Spain through France, check the latest FCDO travel advice for France ahead of your journey.

Testing requirements for overland travellers

UK Travel Requirements

Under current UK Covid 19 guidelines – If you have been in a country or territory in the 10 days before you arrive in England please check FCDO travel advice.

Entry to UK through the published traffic light system requires the following:

Those from a country considered as Red

  • Take a Covid-19 test and provide a negative result at least 72 hours before arrival.
  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form.
  • Book & Pay for a stay in a quarantine managed hotel in the UK.
  • The above rules apply irrespective of having been vaccinated.

Those from a country considered as Amber

  • Take a COVID 19 test & provide a negative result at least 72 hours before arrival.
  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form
  • Quarantine at the location declared for 10 days
  • Take COVID 19 tests on date 2 and or after day 8
  • End quarantine early through the early test and release scheme
  • The above rules apply irrespective of having been vaccinated.

Those from a country considered as Green

  • Take a COVID 19 test & provide a negative result at least 72 hours before arrival
  • Complete a Passenger Locator Form
  • Book and pay for a day 2 Covid 19 test
  • The above rules apply irrespective of having been vaccinated.

Before you leave for the UK

You’ll need to:

  • complete a passenger locator form
  • provide proof of a negative coronavirus test

Your passport or identity card will be checked when you arrive at a UK port or airport to make sure you’re allowed to come into the country. It should be valid for the whole of your stay.

You may also need a visa to come into or travel through the UK, depending on your nationality.

UK Nationals – From 1st January 2021, the UK is no longer part of the EU and travel requirements have changed. Please refer to the UK government’s website for more information.
