Project Description

Less than 30 minutes’ drive from CLC Kusadasi Golf & Spa is the beautiful, protected green space of Dilek National Park, known locally as ‘Milli Park.’

With its protected status, the 28,000-hectare park is a natural haven where wildlife, flora and fauna can thrive, untouched by the advances of commercialism. Dilek is the ideal place to get away from the bustling crowds in the town of Kusadasi and to enjoy the simpler holiday pleasures of a quiet walk in the countryside, a family picnic or a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean.

Explore the picturesque coves, bays and beaches just waiting to be discovered. Icmeler Bay, which is close to the main entrance has the only sandy beach in the park and is ideal for families.

Kavakli and Karapinar Bays enjoy equally stunning settings and are safe for swimming. These beaches are made up of pebble and shingle which offer more privacy for couples seeking a peaceful day out.

Toilets and shower facilities are available at various locations in the park and, with a choice of cafés, there are also some convenient alternatives to the traditional picnic lunch.

Idyllic surroundings

The pine forests and verdant woodland that form the Dilek National Park are set against the azure backdrop of the Aegean Sea, with the Greek island of Samos just 2km offshore. The park is a truly idyllic location for a day spent away from the resort.

Lovers of the great outdoors will find a choice of easy-to-follow paths and trails with picnic tables and benches in forest clearings where you can stop on route. Given the dry conditions in Turkey and the park’s protected status, barbecues and camp fires are strictly prohibited. Remember to take plenty of water!

During your walk, experience the wide variety of flora and fauna that make Dilek National Park such an important natural resource. Wild pigs roam the forest (don’t worry they are not dangerous) plus 25 other species of birds, mammals, reptiles and marine animals who make their home in the park.

Hundreds of different native plant species are spread around the park. At certain times of the year, the entire area is filled with amazing swathes of natural colour as the wild flowers, shrubs and bushes burst into bloom.

Dilek National Park opens to the public every day from 8.00am until 5.00pm, so after a memorable and relaxing day out, you’ll still have plenty of time to get back to the resort for dinner!
