BIKEPARK LEOGANG

Popular with bike fans of all ages and abilities, Bikepark Leogang is one of the largest parks of its kind in Europe; and is due to host the Mountain Bike Downhill World Championships for the second time in 2020.

Every aspect of bike sport is covered for downhillers, free riders and mountain bikers. Children and beginners can try to complete their first jumps in the 10,000mRiders Playground Area, while experienced riders can ‘shred’ their bikes on the demanding world championship courses.

Grab your bike, board the 8-passenger gondola lift at Asitz in Leogang and head straight into one of the nine routes. Bikes can be hired in advance at the valley station, where you will also find bike-washing facilities and showers.

The comfortable mountain rope conveyor belt is ideal for younger riders and transports them 800m up to the start of a scenic freeride course.

Spectators can enjoy a sensational programme of competitions and enjoy some of the most legendary biking events in the world.

Other popular tracks include:

The Speedster

A technically very demanding downhill World Cup and World Championship trail, with a combination of steep, technical and high-speed sections for advanced riders.

The Flying Gangster

This medium-level track is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders, with a variation of wall rides, optional drops up to 5m and berms (curved corners with banked outer edges).

Bongo Bongo

This Pro trail branches off halfway down the Flying Gangster and runs almost exclusively through the forest. Whether you are up for the challenge of Bongo Bongo, or prefer to watch from a safer distance, you will be enthralled by the skill of the riders.

Hangman 1 and 2

Hangman 1 is a technically challenging narrow trail with roots, rocks, tight berms and optional drops. Hangman 2 is a wide, flowing beginner trail with a 3.2km track. Excellent for improving your cornering skills.

Hotshots

This 3.5km long trail starts at Asitztop station and is great fun for all levels of ability. The course is approximately 2m wide and winds its way through the forest down to the Flow Link.

GoPro Bagjump

Soar high and land softly on the GoPro Bagjump – an enormous air cushion to break your fall. This is the perfect place for intermediate and advanced riders to learn new tricks or improve their style in the air.

Events in the Bikepark Leogang

A range of events in Bikepark Leogang take place throughout the year and include workshops, freeride camps, e-bike instruction courses, bike festivals and fan weekends.
