Delivering help to the Angels

Christmas is the time for giving and staff at CLC Club La Costa World pulled out all the stops for those less fortunate.

Los Ángeles Malagueños de la Noche is a Malaga based charity that provides more than a million meals a year for those who are homeless or living in poverty.

Pedro López, Space Management Manager, organised a collection of non-perishable foods and clothing for the charity and staff were more than generous with their donations. As you can see from the video, a vanload of essential items was delivered to the charity in time for their festive handout.

The Ángeles Christmas campaign provided around 3000 meals of chicken and tortilla on Christmas Eve and handed out 50,000 kilos of food to those who came to their premises which opened in May 2016. President of Los Ángeles, Antonio Meléndez, was extremely grateful for all the help and donations provided, “This is nothing without the people: their donations and time. There are many people on the streets who need help, but with the economic crisis there are also those who do not have enough money to put food on the table once they have paid all their bills. The bureaucratic system wants to know all about you before they provide assistance, but here we just allow you to eat. To sit, eat and relax for a little while”.

CLC World’s charitable arm, The Smile Foundation, contributed €3000 to the campaign which bought 2,700 tortillas for distribution among the needy.
