Carers Trust Christmas Carol Concert sponsored by CLC World
For the second year running, CLC World sponsored Carers Trust’s Christmas carol concert in London, a fundraising event for the organisation which supports many of the UK’s seven million unpaid carers.
On 4th December, the concert was held at St Mary-le-Bow church with two of the UK’s best-loved personalities – actors Timothy West and Anthony Andrews – giving readings.
The City of London Choir, supported by the Young Carers Choir from Northampton, led the music.
TV presenter Gabby Logan, representing CLC World Charity Holidays, made an appeal for donations, saying: “Carers Trust makes sure people can get some respite whether that’s a trip or a day away. CLC World Resorts & Hotels have linked up with them so that carers can have time to themselves and find the energy to keep going.”
The night was a rousing success with over £21,000 raised.
Graham Wilding, UK Managing Director, said: “We were proud to sponsor Carers Trust’s Christmas carol concert again. Carers work tirelessly throughout the year looking after their loved ones and deserve our support and recognition.
Thank you to everyone present for raising such a superb amount for such an important cause.”
