Angels of the Night
CLC World accounting department employees have given their help by joining the Malaga charity The Angels of the Night distributing food to the needy in the Costa del Sol capital.
Six employees from accounts, volunteered for an evening distribution and a donation of €3000 from the company charity: The Smile Foundation, was made to the organisation.
Juan José Millán, CLC World financial controller and one of those who took part, said: “Company employees have been helping this organisation for some years by donating food and toys at Christmas. Box collections are placed in various departments. However, I have often been passing by when food is being distributed and wondered how we could help directly.”
As a result, it was agreed for volunteers from his department to spend time helping and seeing at first-hand what happens to their donations, and there was a lot of support. Mr Millán has also been personally involved with No Child without a Toy Christmas campaign organised by the same organisation.
The Angels of the Night receive no authority funding and rely on private companies and individuals. It is planned for CLC World employees to continue to give their help, and hoped more will join the initiative going forward.
