Málaga is home to one of the best Christmas light displays in Spain and this year promises to be no exception.
Actor Antonio Banderas, who hails from Málaga, switched on the lights on Friday, 29th November, and they will continue to shine until 5th January 2020.
1.7 million bulbs illuminate the city with a canopy of lights glimmering the length of Calle Larios to the Christmas tree in the Plaza de la Constitución. The Paseo de Parque is lined with cabanas selling a variety of Christmas fare as lights twinkle in the trees.
If you’re staying at CLC Club La Costa World, take the train from Fuengirola into Málaga city centre. Enjoy the sunset from one of the many bars and restaurants that line Muelle Uno before watching one of the light and music displays in Calle Larios.
This year, there are 3 displays when the lights ‘dance’ to the beat: 18:30, 20:00 and 21:30. With the aroma of roasting chestnuts and the happy vibe that the Costa del Sol is renowned for, you’re sure to get into the Christmas spirit.
