Narrowboating is reminiscent of Famous Five stories – without the sinister spy. Family and friends, including the four-legged kind, can have adventures as you make your way serenely along England’s historic waterways.

CLC Canaltime has its own famous five: brand new additions to the fleet.

Goldie Locks, Lock and Quay, Tranquility, Canaloni and Knot So Fast have all taken to the water and are proving popular.

Incredible feedback

The new boats have proved a hit with the design allowing for seating at both ends of the boat. The interiors also have an improved layout, making the adventure even better.

The boats have not long been motoring along the waterways, but CLC Canaltime has already received some fantastic feedback…

We had a wonderful break on the canal boat, the boat is beautiful and well equipped.  We found that we never wanted for anything.

The new boat is an asset to your fleet, we particularly loved the new shower/bathrooms.

We loved that we could sit and see out at the front of the boat.  Clearly a lot of thought has been put into it.

Gayton Marina deserve 10/10 for their organisation and the preparation of the boats.

We found the boat lovely and bright and it was great to have the stern sectioned with seating and rear doors, particularly as we brought our dog for the first time.

It was nice to have the doors at the front and the use of the extra seating area at the front was an added bonus.

Exploring England

Canalboats are a wonderful way to explore the country. With boats at several marinas across the country, there’s a great choice of locations.

Potter along to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, head to Roman Chester, cruise the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct or be delighted by Birmingham’s backwaters. And, let’s not forget mooring outside a traditional British pub for a well-earned pint and bite to eat.

Fresh air, a new view each day, eating out in the Great British countryside and furry friends included.  What more could you ask for?
