Good news for CLC World’s Spanish resorts – the Mediterranean has become the world’s main tourism zone with 32% of international arrivals and 30% of revenues, according to the Mediterranean Resort & Hotel Real Estate Forum.

With Malaga the fourth busiest airport in Spain (16.67 million passengers in 2016) behind Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, and with record figures seeming extremely likely for 2017, the Costa del Sol is definitely a tourist hot spot.

In addition, the cruise port in Málaga has seen one of the highest growths of traffic among Spanish cruise ports in 2017. The week commencing 30th October will see 16 cruise ships dock in Malaga, carrying almost 20,000 passengers. The proximity to the historic centre and the excellent infrastructure make Malaga an ever more popular stop on Mediterranean cruises.

And there is yet more good news for CLC World on the travel destination front: Seville is named Top City to visit while the UK comes in at number 7 for Value destinations in Lonely Planet’s 2018 list.

With Club La Costa World a prime location for day-trips to Seville (and of course we offer excursions there, too) and Duchally Country Estate and Trenython Manor offering fantastic accommodation in the UK’s top tourist spots, CLC World is fantastically placed to meet travellers’ needs.

Of course, many of the other destinations mentioned are also within the reach of CLC World Members through our own travel agent – CLC World Travel.
