More Marinas…

Should the prospect of experiencing the British countryside from a leisurely perspective float your narrowboat, then Canaltime offers you the chance to saunter off from two new marinas next year.

Located in rural Staffordshire on the historical Coventry Canal, Kings Orchard Marina offers boaters of all levels plenty to enjoy both on water and dry land. Blessed with easy connections to other Midlands cruising routes, such as the Black Country Ring and Ashby Canal, your crew will enjoy a journey of rolling hills, pleasant countryside, and play witness to the Midlands famous industrial sprawl. Back on firm ground, moor your boat for a short drive to Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty; or visit Lichfield, a cathedral city only 3.5 miles away, which boasts streets lined with museums, independent shops and mouth-watering restaurants.

Set between the nearby towns of Newbury and Henley on a picturesque stretch of the 100-mile Kennet and Avon Canal, Aldermaston Marina is for all occasions. As captain, navigate your boat in either direction but whichever route you decide to take, your crew will experience some of the most beautiful countryside in southern England, marvel at amazing feats of waterway engineering and enjoy the fun of tackling the numerous locks along the way; you can even dip your toes in the River Thames (license permitting). For a day on dry land, a visit to Henley-on-Thames is worth the 20-mile drive where the lush Chiltern landscape forms the perfect backdrop for long lunches and quirky shopping opportunities.

More Boats…

Those who love to holiday at a slowwwer pace know that our boats are the key to it all. So, to meet unprecedented demand – and fresh from adding five canalboats to our fleet earlier this year – Canaltime will have a further five new boats hitting the UK waterways from next Spring. For the ultimate floating home from home experience, each vessel will be built to the same high-standard our frequent boaters have become accustomed to with modern appliances, well-equipped galleys, on-board entertainment, and comfortable beds as standard.
