Guildford Cathedral is a modern Cathedral with a beautiful interior and an amazing story. Built by donations from the thousands of people who bought a brick. It was the concept and design of a single mind: architect Sir Edward Maufe. The last Church of England Cathedral consecrated on a new site (1961), it combines Gothic tradition with 20th century construction.
The design has a special atmosphere of tranquillity, light and space. Some of you may recognise it from the original film The Omen with Gregory Peck.

RHS Garden Wisley
Wisley Garden is a natural artist palette. In spring, huge swathes of crocus join glorious displays of magnolias, rhododendrons and fruit blossom. An award-winning 18th century landscape garden where winding paths take you on a journey of awe-inspiring vistas and beautiful garden buildings. Stroll around the Serpentine Lake, wander through woodland and promenade past follies, including the Ruined Abbey, Gothic Temple and Turkish Tent.
The sparkling Crystal Grotto is a magical cave built with a more naturalistic view than many of its European contemporaries. Sunlight pierces the apertures hitting the crystals to dramatic effect. The whole park is a living piece of art.
