CLC World Resorts & Hotels’ founder and chairman Roy Peires has, over three decades, created a worldwide hospitality group; one that designs, develops and operates award-winning resorts with a wide and innovative range of holiday and property owning products.
South African born, Roy first became involved with holiday shared ownership in Europe in the 1980s. From selling fixed weeks, he then acquired his first resort in southern Spain: Las Farolas. He rapidly expanded his company and established a site of multiple resorts nearby, now known as CLC Club La Costa World.
From 1984, Roy’s vision led Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels into becoming one of the largest and most successful companies in the European shared ownership industry, introducing floating weeks, Vacation Club points and later fractional and whole property ownership along the way. Offices were established in Spain and London, UK.
Rebranded as CLC World Resorts & Hotels in 2013, following expansion to the US, his company today has 32 mixed use resorts worldwide and a reputation as a leading shared ownership brand in Europe that is now a growing presence on the international stage.
