Shoppers’ delight in Turkey
Kusadasi in Turkey has always been a great place to haggle for bargains in the traditional bazaars and shops, and with the introduction of modern stores selling designer labels it has broadened its appeal. Now a new large shopping centre is set to open this spring.
The centre, with 90 shops, an amphitheatre and open cinema with seating for 1,500, as well as cafes and restaurant and children’s playground, is about 10-11minutes’ drive from the main town. Opening is planned for 23rd April, 2014. For those who know the area, it is siutated opposite Kusadasi’s largest supermarket – Kusadasi-Tesco.
Towards the end of last year, another sign of Kusadasi’s growing tourism status was the opening of Turkey’s largest – and 2nd biggest in Europe – convention centre, sharing the name of its prized archaeological site Ephesus, by the country’s prime minister.
“Kusasdasi is developing amazingly,” said Duygu Sahin of CLC World Resorts & Hotels, “It is very exciting for everyone involved with holidays and tourism here.” CLC World currently has a third Turkish resort, Ramada Resort Kusadasi, taking shape on the edge of the town.
